New to Pole?
-
No prior experience is necessary!
Our beginner classes are designed to teach you everything step by step.
You don’t need to be flexible or strong to start - these are skills you’ll build along the way.
-
For Pole Foundations classes, we recommend wearing shorts and a sports bra or tank top. During warm-up you can wear leggings or joggers, but during class they will have to be removed as we need our skin to stick to the pole.
For other classes, leggings are okay.
During Pole Flow and High Heels Flow classes, we recommend wearing knee pads. For heels classes, bring a pair of pole-friendly heels (or barefoot if you’re trying it for the first time).
-
We recommend bringing a water bottle, a small towel and your enthusiasm.
Everything else we provide!
-
Yes, pole dancing is safe when done under proper instruction. Our teachers all have instructor qualifications and focus on teaching correct techniques, building your strength and flexibility gradually to minimize the risk of injury.
We also provide crash mats for soft landings.
-
Everyone progresses at their own pace, and consistency in your practice - while having fun - is key!
To advance to Pole Foundations 1, we require you to complete at least 10 Pole Foundations Intro classes.
-
Not at all!
Pole dancing is for all ages, body types, and fitness levels. It’s never too late to start!
-
A static pole does not move on its own; it is your body and your own strength that create the spin. With a spinning pole, the pole rotates by itself, so you don’t need to generate the spin yourself.
Both styles have their own challenges, so it’s best to learn both. In Pole Foundations Intro, we give you the opportunity to try both styles, so you can discover which one you enjoy the most.
Class Policy
-
In Pole Foundations Intro and Pole Foundations 1 classes, students share a pole. This allows for rest and recovery between learning new tricks, while also providing an opportunity to learn by observing others. Plus, you get to make new pole friends!
For all other classes, we ensure one person per pole.
-
Please avoid wearing lotions or oils on the day of your class, as they make gripping the pole difficult.
